Bohnenkamp AG presents new online shop

Since the 15th of May, Bohnenkamp AG has been showcasing tyres, wheels, rims and other items from its comprehensive range in a new online shop. The gradual migration of all users to the new environment is currently under way.

Bohnenkamp AG's new e-commerce solution offers customers many practical benefits: more convenience, security and enhanced options. Products can now be searched for more conveniently and quickly, and previous purchases can be traced more easily. In addition to these significantly improved basic functions and the refreshingly modern design, users can learn about many other features.

More security and convenience when buying tyres online

In future, all authorised users will access the shop with their personal email address and individual password. The new system replaces the previous login by customer number and offers significantly more security for the customer. 

Bohnenkamp has also worked on the search and purchasing process. The improved search function allows customers to find and filter items and important information about tyres, wheels, rims, vehicle construction components and mounting accessories more quickly and to order products in a targeted manner.

If several of a customer's employees are online simultaneously, the new system can provide a shared shopping basket and simplify the coordination of orders. Furthermore, each order can be assigned to a specific user. All users can also view their company's order history, manage after-sales processes and create follow-up orders. 

With the new store, Bohnenkamp is focussing even more on mobile use. All buttons, fields and input masks now adapt to the specifications of the end device used and appear clearly and orderly on every display format. The vast majority of all customers still access the shop via desktop PC. However, as expected, mobile access continues to gain in importance.

Administration of the customer account 

Complex organisational and branch structures can now also be mapped within an account. In addition, users can nominate one or more administrators. They specify the usage rights in a shop account and define general organisational rules.

And after the shop rollout?

"From the initial design phase to this month's launch, we've consistently focussed Bohnenkamp's entire purchasing environment on the customer experience," explains Henrik Schmudde, who oversees marketing, PR and e-commerce at Bohnenkamp AG. "Our goal was to carry over the successful elements of the previous shop while updating the whole system to meet modern technical standards. This also includes new options that make work easier for retailers." Following the rollout for an initial select group of users on 15 May, the new shop will replace the previous version for all Bohnenkamp customers in Germany by mid-June. Henrik Schmudde emphasises: "We have invested a lot of development work into the new shop and are delighted to receive such positive feedback from customers. The team really did a first-class job. Now it's time to make the final adjustments. We will then be able to take a look at the other shops in the Group's subsidiaries."
