Tyre pressure control system by practitioners for professionals

The ISOfill tyre pressure control system now completes the Bohnenkamp range. The in-house development provided by the mechanical engineering company HR Agrartechnik GmbH from Velen, North Rhine-Westphalia, was designed from the outset as a retrofit kit, allowing for easy integration into all standard tractors and towed vehicles. It also promises improved soil conservation and reduced fuel consumption.

With immediate effect, the ISOfill single-circuit tyre pressure control system (RDRA) is now part of our range. The model can be used to precisely adjust the pressure in conventional tyres, but above all in the pressure-flexible IF and VF tyres. Controlling the internal tyre pressure on tractors and towed vehicles promises improved soil conservation and lower fuel consumption.

The RDRA ISOfill was developed by Christoph Hante and Markus Rensing. The two entrepreneurs set out to simplify and optimise the everyday lives of farmers through innovative technology. Hante, who has been working as a contractor and farmer in the agricultural sector for many years, and Rensing, who adds the business management expertise, have tailored the tyre pressure control system to the requirements of everyday agricultural work. Their first models have been in use since 2013 and are proof of the ISOfill's rugged design.

Scope of delivery for the RDRA ISOfill by HR Argartechnik

We supply each RDRA system with clear assembly instructions, the electronic control unit (ECU), rotary transmitters including banana plug holders, pressure lines and Bluetooth pressure sensors for the valves. The system is electronically connected to the tractor's ISO bus so that it can be controlled via the tractor's existing terminal. To order an RDRA, we only need a few additional details from our clients. The important factors here are the axle dimensions and the number of bolt holes in the rims.

RDRA are expanding their range to include IF and VF treads

Heiko Holthaus, head of our agricultural division, knows that our customers will be pleased with the addition of tyre pressure control systems to our product range: "For years, we have been supplying rims that we previously fitted with the appropriate connection holes for the subsequent installation of a tyre pressure control system. Now we can offer the complete package."

The new accessories complement our range of IF and VF tyres, which are becoming increasingly important in agriculture. We have been committed to promoting this emerging technology for years. Together with the agricultural machinery manufacturer Amazone, we have proven the superiority of IF and VF agricultural tyres in a large-scale field experiment. Farmers who use VF tyres in low-pressure operations on their fields retain up to 220 cubic metres more root space per hectare compared to conventional tyres. Practitioners also save fuel thanks to the lower rolling resistance on the road – savings of up to 10 per cent are possible according to HR Agrartechnik.

Investing in a tyre pressure control system pays off

The bottom line is that looser, more fertile soils and reduced fuel requirements ensure a positive balance. Heiko Holthaus summarises: "Of course, a tyre pressure control system costs money, and both IF and VF tyres are less affordable than conventional treads. However, the initial investment quickly pays off given the many positive effects of an application-appropriate tyre pressure.“
